deicidal-tendencies asked: Acceptance enough or must I embrace pop punk? I've made great effort to expand my musical horizons & be more accepting over the years. Still try as I might I just can't seem to get into poppunk or deathcore & my friends insist i'm just being stubborn. Could i still be harboring lingering blackmetal butthurts or just not my cup of tea? Also if i'm always dressed professionally for work / gfs family, etc is letting my lame inner gothiness out at home a biggie?
I think you should care less about musical genres and focus on other parts of your life.
steve-harvey-oswald asked: hey serge, I'm a long time fan, I was just wonderin if you could help out with my situation. I am a reformed IMN who recently met a 10/10. She introduced me to new music such as pop punk, in fact, one of my fondest memories is kissing during a New Found Glory concert while they were playing 'Kiss Me'. I love her more than anything, but I realized I'm still not happy. i got into university recently and I think its too much. I have no clue what the fuck I'm doing. Wot do?
When i start to feel like i cant handle life, i think about how linh’s dad became a lawyer, then a pilot, fought in the war, then put him wife and 4 kids on a boat and brought them literally across the world, then learned english and got a computer science degree at the age of 50 and started a new life in the country that bombed the living shit out of his country just 25 years earlier.
If he can handle that without a single complaint, i’m pretty sure you can handle college. Man up.
